Petitjean CDC Feathers (Croupin de Canard or Cul de Canard) come in 1 gram packets Flies tied with CDC have more life-like quality than flies tied with other, more opaque materials.                  Highly aerodynamic: when cast, the CDC collapses but, at the end of the cast, it expands acting as a parachute as the fly descends to the water. It therefore makes casting easier and fly presentation more delicate. Highly hydrodynamic: under water every filament pulsates with life even in the gentlest flow or on the slowest retrieve. Folds like real fly tissue when a fish takes a CDC fly into its mouth. In this way, fish accept CDC flies more readily, and are much slower to reject them, than ones made of harder materials. Please note: Petitjean CDC Feathers Colours #1 to #6 and #8 to 16 have a feather length of 3 to 6 cm Colour # 7 (Beige) is 1.5 to 3.5 cm

Mallard Drake Shoulder Feathers Bronze from Veniard Mallard bronze shoulder feathers used predominately on the "Mallard and" range of wet flies. Large is used on many traditional Salmon patterns. Mallard Drake Shoulder Feathers are a versatile and popular choice for fly tying. The barred feathers from the flank of the duck are particularly useful, as they can be used to create a variety of different fly patterns. Wings Mallard flank feathers are often used to create the wings of dry flies. The barred pattern of the feathers helps to imitate the natural wings of a mayfly or caddisfly, and the feathers are also relatively stiff, which helps to keep the fly afloat. Some popular flies that use mallard flank wings include the Quill Gordon, the Light Cahill, and the Adams. Tails Mallard flank feathers can also be used to create the tails of dry flies. The barred pattern again helps to imitate the natural tails of mayflies and caddisflies, and the feathers are also relatively soft, which helps to keep the fly from sinking too quickly. Some popular flies that use mallard flank tails include the Royal Coachman, the Blue Wing Olive, and the Hendrickson. Legs Mallard flank feathers can...
