Smoothly tapered to give easy turn over of dries, nymphs and streamers these leaders open up many new techniques not only with a floating line but with sinking lines as well. When the water temp drops, standard saltwater lines will stiffen up and become difficult to cast and manage.  Anglers after inshore cold saltwater species need a line that stays manageable even when the temps drop. With its moderate overall taper and mid-length belly, the Cold Saltwater is a highly versatile line for all cold inshore use.  It’s powerful enough to turn over heavier flies, but not so aggressive that it crashes down on top of the more skittish fish. The needs of stillwater anglers can vary significantly from those on streams and rivers.  For a line to be effective in the uniquely challenging world of stillwater fishing, some serious considerations need to be taken in to the design. The Sixth Sense Intermediate line features Airflo’s classic Delta Taper design.  With its long front taper, it will present flies delicately at any distance without overly disturbing the quiet, still water.  Its longer overall length allows for fishing effectively at both long and medium distances  The rear taper has been clearly marked for a visual cue about the best “haul zone” when making the big casts. The Sixth Sense Intermediate is available in sizes 5wt to 9wt and features our Power Core technology for positive hooksets and minimal memory.  Both slow intermediate (.5″ per second) and fast intermediate (1.5″ per second) versions are available to help you dial in the perfect depth to find the “feeding zone.”
