Thomas & Thomas is excited to announce the upcoming March 1st release of the highly anticipated Avantt II, a fully redesigned second generation of T&T’s acclaimed Avantt series.
These fast action rods incorporate five different types of premium fibers, bound together by our proprietary aerospace resin system. Aligning these fibers at strategic angles as we roll Avantt II blanks improves strength while enhancing recovery and damping, allowing for precise tip control.
With highly balanced tapers designed to optimize these advanced materials, the Avantt II loads with unmatched smoothness and efficiency, generating high line speeds and making accurate casts at all distances virtually effortless. Components have been carefully selected to maximize performance and comfort, including a new Special Wells Grip.
Features:
Smooth Fast Action
New Flor grade Special Wells grip on all models
Matte gunmetal reel seat hardware with T&T’s trademark roll stamped logo
Sustainably sourced burled wood spacer

The ALL-NEW Thomas & Thomas Sextant Series As technology and performance continue to push the limit of possibilities, the end goal for a fly rod remains the same. We seek to cast a fly line with ease and accuracy – to deliver our best artificial imitation at the right time and in the right place to convince the fish to eat. In saltwater fly fishing, fly presentation and placement are often as critical as when casting tiny imitations to fussy selective trout. But there is also a need for power; both to face into the wind so commonly encountered and to turn the heads of the largest fish. These combined challenges of accuracy, delicacy and power are met with the new Sextant saltwater series from T&T. The Sextant rod family was born from extensive R&D, representing an evolution in composition and construction from any fly rod previously available. Sextant rods are constructed with a unique reinforcement strategy that enhances strength and recovery properties of high-performance unidirectional fibers. This improves the coefficient of energy of the completed rod sections, resulting in rods that load quickly and generate wind-cutting line speed and casting distance with less effort. The entire Sextant rod family...
The Thomas & Thomas Contact II blank construction utilizes five different types of premium quality carbon and fiberglass fibers, bound together by our proprietary aerospace resin system. Aligning these fibers at strategic angles as we roll Contact II blanks improves accuracy, sensitivity, and strength. Components have been carefully selected to maximize performance and comfort. Improved guide spacing moves a “Low Rider” style stripping guide to the butt section of each Contact II, which decreases line sag from the angler’s hand to the first guide.
Features:
Optimized guide spacing with lowered stripping guides to decrease line sag between the hand and first guide
Increased backbone power to improve hook sets and assist landing larger fish
Extra dense premium Flor grade cork grips increases feel and bite transmission
Black RECoil single foot snake guides
Black hook keeper and winding check
Black “Low Rider” style stripping guide keeps line tighter to blank for improved strike transmission and accuracy
New low-profile rounded fighting butt for balance and comfort
Stealthy brown and olive thread wraps.
Downlocking reel seat standard on 2wt to 4wt models

Despite best laid plans, conditions in saltwater environments have a tendency of sliding sideways in a split second. Walloping wind and cloud cover pack the potential to hinder the performance of even the most experienced tropical fly anglers. When favor's stacked in nature's corner, level the playing field with fishing tools forged to conquer these, and other common variables.
With a primary focus of maximizing versatility, these adaptable actions improve angler capability and expand tactical opportunity in difficult fishing situations. Rolled with our most advanced compound taper construction to date, NRX+ S provides the power, line speed, and lop stability expected from modern fast-action rods, without compromising "feel" and finesse for short shots when the light goes out.
This means. regardless of casting distance or difficulty, NRX+ empowers anglers with confidence-boosting control in less-than-ideal situations.
Edgy environmental factors like sustained wind, complex hydraulics, and natural structure all pack the potential to punish productivity.
